I think anyone that can think of a way to solve traffic problem will be super rich just to sell the idea.

Finally moving into a new environment in new job
Posted by eightdots™ Labels: job, personal, wishingLike I mentioned in my previous post that I've no confident to sell the product offered by my previous employer. And they also realized that the product is not really ready for the market in term of the stability and technically working. So finally I decided to quit the job and look for new venture.
After 1 months of seeking jobs, went to many interviews. Finally I think the position offered by CIMB Bank is quite interesting and quite challenging based on what they mentioned in the job description (we can't know the true working environment until we worked there right?).
I'll based in Plaza Damansara - Menara SBB (Southern Bank Berhad). I am quite familiar with that area because used to have meeting over there since when I was in-charge of Apple product in my previous employment, used to go to Apple Office over Plaza Damansara. I can say it is quite difficult to find parking and hope to check on it tomorrow on the parking earlier.
Will see how it goes since I've yet to read the whole offer letter as well. The offer letter will be send over to the office and I'll only be reading it on tomorrow morning. What I know is just the basic salary and dress code (haha!!).
I'll see how it goes with this job. A new industry for me - banking. Hope I can do something different and together we grow.
How to explore your skills and find a job that suites you?
Posted by eightdots™ Labels: information, job, personalI find a lot of articles taking about how one can explore his skills and find a job that suites him well. There are things like list down what you're interested in doing? Whether its sports or events. Then later find out what skills that the thing that interest you brings to you. Whether it is transferable skills or self management skills. Then list a set of jobs that can fit in well in term of salary, working environment and so on.
Ya ya. I am stuck in this part. I know how to identify but there just not that easy to find a job that can match your skills unless you're preparing to wait for the job to appear and starve to death before that. I've been looking into all the job sites and newspaper to look for a job that is suitable for me. I can say not that easy. Most of the time during these period, a lot of your friends or relatives who before that told you that they've plenty of jobs looking for people will suddenly out of jobs. And companies that you think of entering don't offer what you expect or they don't offer the position you're looking for. It is hard!!
Counsellor back in college will tell us all the theories but they just can't make the job there for you right? GOD HELP. I believe my skills and i believe my ability, i just need an opportunity, thats all...
My second aunt just passed away yesterday. The day before I was still in the hospital to visit her and she is still conscious. I remember the last few words she said to me was "I am very hot, I feel so warm here (in the hospital)" and she said that she is getting difficult to breath. Although the hospital had provided her with oxygen.
Her heart starting to break down the only left 20% of the function which the doctor is planning to wait for a surgery once her condition get well. However, her condition did not turn well.
And on the 1st April 2008 (April's fool) is the day she continue her journey in another dimension.
Hope she could rest in peace!! I sincerely apologize for whatever I did not done well during her time here with us.
Can you convince others when you don't believe in it?
Posted by eightdots™ Labels: business, gadget, information, personal, technology
I think a lot these days on how I can convince the customers to purchase a newly develop products. The ideas of the product is so brilliant. In one single box, you can actually used for multipurpose.
Put in a 3G sim card where you can get HSDPA network (up to 3.6Mbps from Celcom, Maxis or U-Mobile). The product will becomes a internet gateway + router where you can share your broadband connection out through the build in WiFi. This will be the first features - Share your wireless broadband. Unlike other USB HSDPA modem where you can only use for a single PC/ Laptop. This is more useful.
Other than that, it can become your office phone. Not only one phone but with multiple extension (like intercom within your small office). Isn't that great? You can do free intercom and these extension can do outgoing call through GSM call. You can also have auto attendant to help pick up the call and transfer let the person to leave down message, dial an extension. The second features of the product - IP-PBX
SMS. SMS has becoming one of the powerful tools for business and many of the business does not know how to adopt this powerful features. You can't just save all your business partners in the phone and use your mobile phone to send out SMS all the time? That just don't feel right. Ok. This product can share the application out. When you connect to this product using the WiFi, you can actually use it's built-in web based application to send SMS, delayed SMS, group SMS. Save your appointments, meetings, phone books, to-do list and other useful features in the box. It will remind you by sending you SMS or email on your appointment. Isn't that great?
Not only that, you can even plug a USB printer and it will auto configure itself to be used by all the client who connects to it. Becoming a print server.
When you heard of something like this, you'll feel that it is really a powerful product but I just don't feels like I'm having confident to the product. I can't force myself to just sell the item because I know the problem behind it.
The 3.6Mbps speed sounds fascinating but it has a quota set by the Telco limited to each line on 3GB / month. Not only that, the speed is on a best basis which means it is not going to reach 3.6Mbps somehow. For me, I'd never tried on more than 500Kbps. Even streamyx will have a slightly stable and a guarantee of 75% of the speed, but not on the 3G broadband. 500Kbps some more you'll have to share with your office colleagues and with a quota limitation. How can you expect the performance to be at a reasonable standard?
Second thing. Yes, it can have multiple extension but there is only 1 incoming call and 1 outgoing call at a time which is a very limitation compared to the current PBX where it can support multiple lines. If such expensive item can support up to 15 - 20 users where all are only sharing for 1 line then it is a bit of unacceptable. But if you said the item support only 5 users then there is no need to use such expensive item. Either way, our product is in a Grey area of both the usage.
Third thing. Yes the most important thing is the stability. The product still not stable and our development teams can't manage to know what problems is it. It hangs sometimes and it works find sometimes. But sometime it hangs quite often (every 20 - 30 minutes). REMEMBER!!! if the product hangs that means you're no longer having internet connection, you can't make calls and receive calls, you can't print or send SMS or even access the box. You'll have to restart the whole box and wait for 1 minute at least for it to recover. But if it happens to often, you won't be able to finish even your email download.
Last thing, the print server. I don't think it works anyway. You can plug in a printer but you'll never be able to use the printer. That is a big issue.
I just can't convince myself knowing all these problems but remain to convince customers to buy and say that it is super stable and reliable. I am so confuse now!!! If I leave the company, I am just another jerk who doesn't have patient to hold long and if I stay, I'll have to sell this piece of product......What will you do???
I admit I am a litter lazy to update the blog recently due to the new working environment where I have to promote a product where there are only 0.001% of the population in the world will wish to use it.
But the first thing to do here after a while of "non update" period on blog. I wish a very Happy Chinese New Year to everyone here, all my friends and relatives as well as all readers.
I hope you all have a wonderful year down then and always have great luck with you.
As for myself. I've got to work hard in both my studies and work. Please help to pray on this.. =)
I've asked myself a lot of times regarding this question. What is actually real? Do what we see or what we listen is real?
If we see something that happen in front of us, do we judge it as real?
REAL is actually a very mysterious "term". We only think it is real is because we believe it is real.
When your friend tell you something, you think it would be real because you believe in your friend. On the other hand if the same thing mentioned to you by another guy where you hate a lot, that "real" become "fake" or "lies".
A friend can tell a "lies" to you. Saying that he was born in the year 1979 but that is not the actual year of birth. He registered it as 1979 and he even show you the Identification card that mentioned 1979 as the year of his birth. You believe that it is impossible for it to be unreal and this makes you entering into the virtual "real" where you think is real and everyone else think is real too where in reality it actually don't.
This virtual "real" will soon become "real" because too many people saying it is real.
This conclude that the "real" here is actually how you make all people think that is real and how all the people support and have absolutely no doubt that there is anything wrong with the "real" then you've success to make the virtual real into "real".
Tell me now. Which of the pictures below are real and which are not?

I look at the ceiling and think of my own feeling about love. I still can't think of a way to solve the question.
Someone said the happiest thing in the world is to love someone and get loved in return. And the most painful thing is to have your love one falling for someone and you can't do anything. You can feel the pain but you cannot manage to kill it. Even hurting yourself won't cure the pain but at least it can divert some of the pain to a more physical form and cure from there.
You just don't know how to explain the feeling but it is just there.
Try to ask yourself do you really love your partner? How do you know if you really love him/her? What can you do to prove that you love him/her? What if he tells you that he doesn't love you at all, do you still love him or her? Or you hate him or her because they do not provide you with the same length of love you provide them..do you still wish that he or she can be happy and just leave them because you cannot let them feel that they're in love? Do you accept that they do not love you? Whose fault is it actually ..? And what is love?
Class by Dr. Bruce from University of Southern Queensland
Posted by eightdots™ Labels: mobile blog, personalBut during the class, it doesn't really turn out that way. He maybe really good and what he explain sometimes is very useful but the whole class is too boring and slow. You know when you watch a series or drama that waste alot of time doing the same old thing and keep repeating its story.. It makes you wanna die... I hope I could just leave the class but then think again.. It was my $$, how can i just waste the money this way.
No choice but to stay for another one and a half hour. >_<
I have some really good experience and meet some really great people there in this company but still moving on and seek for better opportunity need to be done.
I sincerely hope for the best in this company and wish that I don't go wrong with this decision. I'll miss the people there:)
I've recently bought a new car. A super cheap one which I don't think any of the car lover will like to know what car is it. So, just to accommodate everyone - I think it is best not to mention what car that I actually bought from Proton~~ OPpsssss...
My study is getting tougher and I have less time than I used to be previously because coming to year end, always there will be more jobs and work to do and makes me can't focus on my studies. New that the two new subjects that I took had both comes with assignments, it has successfully trying to kill me... It is harder for us (those who work) to do assignments day after day....
But no matter what, I'll have to complete the study. I can see that it can really bring me benefits in the future.
There is a company offering me to work with them. A very niche market product which I don't think many of you guys out there will ever think of using one. Quite innovative product that I think there should have its own demand but depending on how to market it. Not many people will wish to buy this thing because they cannot think of any way that can utilize it.
Of course, the offer and challenge make me think that I should give it a try. Since that I am still young and have the energy. I'll try to explain the product here and let all of you guys know why is it so niche and why there should have a market later on when I have a clear idea on what it is in and out.
There are too many things comes suddenly in a roll. Don't panic (I mean myself)!!!!
Approximately one week from today, I'll be in Thailand for my company's incentive trip. So it is better to start learn some Thai and do some research.
Hmm!! When most people think of Thailand, normally things that flash inside our mind would be ... "Ah Kua".. OH yea!
I am planning to go and hunt for some ah kua show which we normally don't have a chance to see.
Shopping?? Yeap.. It seems to be quite cheap shopping over Thailand comparing here in Malaysia. But of course there are few things you should learn before shopping there in Thailand, else you'll be another water fish waiting to be chop off half...
You know what its call when you think that the product is too expensive?? You should tell them "Peaing" which means 'cheap' in Cantonese.
You wish to say Hello to a girl? You said "Sa Wa Ti Ka" and to a guy you say "Sa Wa Ti Kap"
And if you wish them to reduce the price of the product.. "Kam Tai Mai"
I really hope i pronounce it correctly else it would be problematic.
The Raya Holiday finally end. But nothing to be so special about since for me, it is only another extra holiday on Monday. But maybe for those Malay friends, it may brings more meaning to them just like during the Chinese New Year, the holiday feel is so much different from a Raya or Deepavali Holiday.
But I did it again. I wasted the holiday by doing the same old thing --> Sleep, Eat, Watch Movie and Sleep then back to the same routine. The drama I've been watching these days is one Hong Kong TVB series called "men in pain".
I must say if you like exciting series, mysterious series, this isn't your choice. It mentioned more on a family, love and perspective of women and men. In certain part of the series, it can touch my heart since I am a man too.
Certain scene I think most of the people should be remind is that. Don't think a long and stable relationship will not end one day because no matter how serious you are or how long you've been keeping one relationship. When it is time to an end, it will eventually end.
Of course there are still things like "ways to keep a good relation".
One relation can only stay long if there is still things that is fresh and able to guess. So, don't try to tell everything to your partner, telling only those they need to know. Keep some for your self at least and don't feel bad if you think your partner is having some secret which you're not aware.
To all my friends and readers out there,
Effective from today, the web address will change to www.eightdots.com
Of course the old domain is still usable until further notice. But please makesure you bookmark the new address.
It would be a wonderful change.
I went to Penang for a few days last week on a business trip to see if our business can have the market expand over to there.
Being second or maybe third time in Penang. I am still not familiar with Penang. We stayed in
Gurney Hotel (Some say its cheap) but for myself, I think it is quite okay and the breakfast is delicious too.

Look at the view of the Hotel. I think it is great with the sea view.
At Penang, me and my colleague had went all over to test their food. The answer to question saying that Penang food is so good... I can say is true. The food is really good, too bad I didn't really took pictures of these food..
Thinking back when we were still young. Time always passes so slow.
Remember during those 2 hours BORING tuition?? 2 hours is like taking us 2 months to end the stupid tuition.
Now time pass by like driving with 500km/hour. Faster than we can hardly see things happen in our daily life. Yesterday I was so exited because it was a start of another weekend. I feels like so happy and in my mind is like having a lot of plans inside.
In the morning, after breakfast straight me and my mum went home. (Opps... I wake up 9am and went to office to finish some jobs for 10 minutes). At home, the time is still at 10am, so I called up my friend (Fai) to visit another friend (Loong) at hospital. The doctor suspect he is having dengi but hell, he is damn energetic and having those look like he is ready to go home. So after chatting for while, me and Fai went for lunch (KFC) and went straight home at 1pm.
Sleep for 30 minutes and I pack my things to my first class for my MBA year 2 course at SeGI College. The class starts from 2pm - 6pm. I think I am the youngest in the whole class because all of them look so OLD.. (Opps) I think some of them even at the age of my father.
The whole class was quite exciting but it was too deep for me to understands. The subject was "Comparative of Business Law" which talks about the different law system around.
Reach home, watch TV for few hours and is time to sleep again.
Today (Sunday), I woke up at 9am++ again and went to breakfast with my mum. She wants me to follow her to Klang to visit some Chinese Traditional Acupuncture's Doctor so we went. It was closed on Sunday but my mum just wish to know that place to ease her to go in the future.
We then went to Pyramid and have a window shopping for an hour and sit down in the Kim Gary for some tea. Reaching home and online for a few hours and Taaaa Daaaaa~~~~ It is 4.43pm and I am still writing this blog and thinking of then ending of Sunday and tomorrow will be Monday again. Damn...~~~

But normally these nice and racing cars will cost the amount that would be impossible for a youngster to own it. These dreams continue to grow and when these youngster going into middle age, they will keep themselves busy and busy and also earn as much money as possible. But in the end, when finally they can own this piece of machine.
